In June 2006 we left our careers in the wine trade to fulfill our ambition to own and run a restaurant in the New Forest.
One of the fantastic things about Hampshire is the huge range and quality on offer from local producers. We had always been impressed by local farmers' markets and farm shops, so from an early stage, we made the decision to use local produce as much as possible. We've combined products sourced locally with classic British produce and some specialty products from abroad.
As well as the regular menu we create lunch specials to best reflect the seasonal produce available, and we also have a separate menu available for children.
With a combined experience of over 20 years in the wine trade before we set up The Vanilla Pod, we have worked hard to create a great value wine list.
