It is not often that you find a place like this.
Surrounded by hundreds of acres of ancient woodland, heath and grassy plains, you'll discover that The Station House at Holmsley - a 19th century former railway station - has been lovingly and sympathetically converted into what many say is the finest tea house in the New Forest.
We offer our famous and great value 'tea in the forest' cream teas, winner of many awards over the years, as well as delicious breakfasts, a wide ranging lunch menu, daily specials and lighter bites, made, wherever possible from locally sourced and produced ingredients.
With seating for up to 70 people inside plus a further 200 outside, you're sure to find space to relax and enjoy what we offer. Not to mention that we can be found on one of the New Forest's best cycle routes, taking in the scenery of our National Park from the comfort and flat of the old Ringwood to Brockenhurst railway. We're also only a short walk from the Forestry commission car parks of Holmsley, Wilverley Plain, Wootton Bridge or Clay Hill.
Here at The Station House, we aim to offer as much, to as many, as possible. That's why you'll not only find popular dishes like Steak and Kidney Pie, or Sausage and Mash, but more avantagarde offerings such as Lamb and Mint Suet Pudding, Whole Sea Bass baked 'en papillotte' with Lemon and Dill, or Aubergine Parmigiano with slow roasted Tomatoes and baby Leeks.
Take all this, add in our touch of magic and our enviable location and you have a beautiful venue for a casual gathering of friends or a special occasion.
And only a stones throw from Burley...
