Liberty's Raptor and Reptile Centre is named after Liberty our American Bald Eagle and home to a large collection of birds of prey - eagles, owls and vultures, along with many reptiles - snakes, lizards and tortoises. Enjoy a visit that will prove to be fun, exciting and educational for people of all ages.
Observe these birds and reptiles at close hand, through various spectacular displays held throughout the day.Get up close and personal with giant rabbits, giant tortoises, snails, snakes and lizards.
The New Forest has a long established history with the art of falconry. Many Kings and Queens have hunted with their birds here. Indeed King William Rufus was hunting here when killed.
Liberty's is also a rescue centre for many wild injured Birds of Prey. We fund medical treatment and rehabilitation of these birds and ensure their safe release back to the wild.
Liberty's Raptor & Reptile Centre is totally accessible to buggies and wheelchair users. Toilets and baby changing facilities are available at the Centre. There is also plenty of parking as you enter the Centre. In the event of poor weather we have an Indoor Display Area in our Lecture Theatre. A Café is available during Opening Hours where you can take a break, have a rest and feed your own brood. You can sit and take your refreshments indoors or outdoors as you prefer.
A good selection of ornaments, prints, t-shirts, greeting cards, framed photographs and other mementoes of your day can be purchased in our shop. Many of the items on sale are unique to Liberty's Raptor & Reptile Centre.
