A wonderful opportunity to stay in a beautiful converted chapel, originally built as a Baptist Church in around 1836. The Old Chapel has been lovingly restored and up dated by its present owners Richard and Gillian Brown to give a very well presented, decorated and comfortable accommodation for Bed and Breakfast, with lovely surprises.
Situated opposite the owners home you have the complete freedom of coming and going at your leisure. A 5 minute walk up the lane takes you into the New Forest where ponies wander and cattle graze and quite often donkeys can be seen.
On entering the chapel turn to your left and you enter a room that will take your breath away, with its very high ceiling and wonderful decorated glass window. This enchanting room bed/sitting room, that can sleep up to 4 has a 6 foot double bed, that can be split into twin beds, a very comfy sofa that converts into another double bed. In the corner there is a full size dining table and chairs, further comfortable seating, - colour television with DVD, over a chest of drawers. A large pine dresser has all the china, and glass you need for eating in. There is a mini kitchen, where you have a mini cooker, microwave, a fridge, dishwasher, toaster and kettle.
A large en-suite bathroom, bath with shower over, bidet, vanity unit and wc. completes this stunning room.
If you turned to your right on entering the chapel you will enter the green room. This is also part of the original chapel with half lined timber walls painted a delicate shade of green, with a lovely large double bed, and television with dvd. Open the two cupboard doors on the side and you will find a mini kitchen, with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, some kitchen utensils, china and glasses so you can eat in if you wish. An en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower makes this the perfect room for couples who just like doing their own thing.
When it comes to breakfast your hosts who live opposite can either provide you with a full continental breakfast in your fridge so you can eat what ever time you wish, (except on the day of your departure when you must vacate by 10.30am) or stroll across the drive way to the main house where a breakfast can be had in the dinning room at an agreed time.
