Mike and Teresa look forward to welcoming you to Temple Lodge guesthouse, a family run bed and breakfast, in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Temple Lodge was built circa 1890 and is a very spacious Victorian residence, with six light and airy bedrooms and large en-suite bathrooms, which have recently been refurbished to a very high standard.
The guesthouse is ideally situated, opposite the open forest and only a few minutes level walk to the village of Lyndhurst where you will find many traditional shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Temple Lodge is well known for its warm hospitality and friendly atmosphere with many guests returning year after year. From the moment we take your booking, please be assured of our good service. We are very happy to assist in booking a restaurant or activity for you to make your stay a most memorable experience.
The house has retained many of its original Victorian features, notably a very spacious entrance hall with a lovely wooden staircase and a beautiful stained glass window on the first floor landing.
On the ground floor there is a guest lounge with comfortable sofas, colour surround-sound TV, video and DVD player. There is also a selection of books and magazines for the enjoyment of our guests.
All of our bedrooms are spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated, and all have large en-suites.
Our elegant dining room, with its high ceiling and period fireplace, overlooks the front garden, with its constantly changing display of colours, especially in the spring with its stunning pink and red camellias and wonderful show of flowers.
There is a variety of breakfasts to choose from and we cater for all tastes, using locally sourced produce whenever possible. We offer: A traditional freshly cooked full English breakfast; "The New Forest Breakfast" - Please ask for details when booking; Continental breakfast with croissants and pain au chocolat; and Healthy option breakfast - fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, preserves and honey.
