Situated in the heart of the New Forest near the picturesque village of Lyndhurst, Hurst End makes the ideal base for touring this lovely part of the Hampshire countryside. Walking, horse riding, cycling (cycle store available), golf and sailing are all available locally.

Open all year round, Hurst End Guest House offers a choice of three beautiful rooms. These consist of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one family room overlooking the forest and surrounding countryside. All rooms are on the first floor, with en-suite bathrooms, are centrally heated and tastefully furnished with colour television and tea/coffee-making facilities. Please remember that there are several steps leading up to the front door.

Within walking distance of Hurst End, the village of Lyndhurst has a wonderful selection of pubs, restaurants and shops and there are many country walks through the adjacent countryside. The beautiful Georgian town of Lymington is only 8 miles away. From here you can take a boat trip to the Isle of Wight (which we highly recommend). We can also arrange horse-drawn carriage tours of the New Forest.

Review for Hurst End
Tina Carter on 2-1-2012

Although the owners were mostly friendly and welcoming, the cleanliness of Hurst End was very disappointing - animal hair and other stuff on a seemingly unvacummed bedroom carpet, thick layers of dust on the bedroom lampshade and dodo rail, fan clogged with dust in the shower room and food crumbs in the drawers, as well as old tea stains on the fabric table mats. The bedroom was incredibly old fashioned and cold - we had to go and turn the thermostat up downstairs on more than one occasion. My friend ordered scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, all of which arrived soggy and not cooked properly. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing with a constant supply of hot water and the towels were clean and replaced daily. The duvets were very thin. Parking was good but the TV in the bedroom only picked up two channels decent enough quality to watch. There was a live wire hanging from the shower room wall and the wardrobe handle fell off when I opened it. A sarcastic comment was made by the landlady when my friend asked if the eggs were free range. I wouldn't stay here again.
