Three minutes from the National Park, Arden house is the perfect base for the New Forest — plenty of opportunity for enjoying open country — walking to the bustling town of Hythe, or taking the ferry to Southampton. The National Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and the Georgian town of Lymington are nearby too.
Guests receive a warm welcome here with tea and biscuits in the conservatory: a feature of the house visitors find quite stunning, with its two grape vines and view of the garden where squirrels and woodpeckers are often seen.
The three bedrooms have comfortable beds, bedside tables, chairs, dressing tables and wardrobes: there's a double with en-suite shower room, a twin with its own bathroom, and a single often used by a parent or a child. Guests can relax in the garden or use the sitting room with hundreds of books, a baby grand piano, HiFi and TV. For breakfast, there's plentiful home baked bread, fresh fruit, yoghurts, and New Forest produce: bacon, sausages, honey, jams and marmalade.
Arden House is approached from a private lane behind a row of trees. There is a gravel drive large enough to accommodate several cars.
We serve breakfast under the dappled shade of grape vines in our spacious conservatory You are welcome also to enjoy the sunshine and shade of the apple trees in our secluded garden which looks out onto a wilderness full of chestnut and beech trees with an abundance of squirrels and a variety of birds.
Our guest wing was refurbished last year.. It has two bedrooms: a twin which can be en suite to the spacious bathroom, and a single. In the older part of the house is the double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
There is also a sitting room with a piano, hundreds of books, HiFi and TV. We have WiFi broadband internet access you are welcome to use.
