Avonview is a picturesque 19th century red brick cottage in the quiet village of Woodgreen, which is situated in the north west corner of the New Forest National Park. Here, the season lasts for 12 months.
Avonview is the perfect location for short breaks and holidays all year round. We pride ourselves on creating the atmosphere of a small boutique hotel where all rooms are en suite and decorated in an individual and unique style.
Woodgreen is a peaceful village which is fortunate to retain a good village pub and a well stocked village shop and post office. Situated as it is inside the cattle grids which form the boundary of the New Forest, it is the ideal location to watch the ponies, deer and other animals which roam freely within the forest. The large village green is a great place to relax, unwind and watch the wildlife.
Avonview is bursting with charm and character with a wealth of original features including old beams and stone flag floors. The guest drawing room boasts an inglenook fireplace and your arrival is greeted with afternoon tea served here or in the pretty cottage garden which surrounds the house.
Breakfast is served in the dining room where a wood burning stove is lit on crisp winter mornings.
Our product is organic, free range, locally sourced and homemade where possible and the menu includes a fruit plate with homemade muesli and you can choose from the familiar delights of a traditional English breakfast or the less familiar such as a boiled goose egg (when in season).
Our bread is homemade as are all our preserves. Rediscover the joys of a hearty and satisfying country breakfast.
