In the New Forest, the wildlife literally comes to you - ponies, cattle and pigs are allowed to roam freely and can be seen walking care-free down village lanes as well as in the open forest!
Whether you are walking, cycling or touring by car, the 140 square miles of the 900-years old New Forest area offers ageless beauty and tranquillity with many miles of paths and walks where you can really appreciate the unspoilt beauty of the New Forest.
Although only a short walk from the open forest, we are ideally placed for the village shops, pubs, restaurants, train station and cycle hire. Indeed, if you come by train (Waterloo 90 mins), you can enjoy a car-free break. As we are located right in the centre of the village near the station, you should be aware that there is some train and traffic noise.
